Dr. Laura Michelle Medone

I am Dr. Medone, the academic trainer, working primarily with Math and Science teachers. I have been an educator for 24 years, 17 of which have been at JISD. I have taught 6th through 12th grade (English Language Arts, Creative Writing, ESL, middle school math, Algebra 1, Middle school science, Biology, Spanish I and II, Project-based STEAM, Special Education, and Gifted & talented Humanities). I received my Bachelor's degree from TTU, my Master's degree from UIW (Administration and adult education), my principal's certification preparation from Lamar University, and my Ph.D. from NCU (Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment).

As an academic trainer, I work with teachers to ensure they have all the necessary tools and strategies to help every student be successful.

Mrs. Rise Hayes

It is an honor to serve the Woodlake Hill’s Wildcat Family! I am Rise Hayes, an RLA and Social Studies academic trainer. This is my 27th year in education, 24 of which have been with JISD, and 22 years to present are at Woodlake Hills Middle School.  I received my BS in Education from Southwest Texas State University and my MS degree from Walden University.

This is an exciting year. As an academic trainer, I look forward to working with our teachers and students to ensure that we, the Wildcat family, are successful academically.
